This is a class all about textured motifs and patterns. I’ll teach you how to create textured motifs using 3 different techniques. We will use Adobe Illustrator to draw and add texture and for those of you who have an iPad I have included how to add texture to your motifs in both Procreate and Adobe Fresco. By the end of this class we'll create a textured pattern in Adobe Illustrator.

Textures truly brings life and warmth into a digital piece of art. In this class I will walk you through how I create seamless textures to use for backgrounds or grain for textured brushes. We will make our own custom shapes and build our own brushes. I will apply my textures to a pattern but you can choose to use any flat design you have laying around that you can work with, or just make a sketch and follow my steps in the last lesson.
